Sudan is facing a catastrophic flood crisis. Heavy rains have devastated communities across multiple states, with water levels in the Nile, Blue Nile, and White Nile rising to unprecedented heights . Over 50,000 families have been affected, with thousands displaced, homes destroyed, farmland submerged, and critical infrastructure collapsed . Disease outbreaks, including cholera and malaria, pose imminent threats .
Dara Development Organization (DRA) , established in 2007 and registered with Sudan's Humanitarian Aid Commission, works with communities affected by natural and man-made disasters . With experience in humanitarian response, water and sanitation, and livelihood support, Dara is launching an Emergency Flood Response to deliver life-saving assistance to the most vulnerable flood-affected families.
