From Seed to Harvest: Help Alradom Organization Empower Families to Feed Themselves

In the villages of South Darfur, a farmer stands at the edge of his land, watching the sky for rain that seems to never come. His family is hungry. His livestock are weak. The seeds he saved from last season are gone, eaten when there was nothing else.

He does not want charity. He wants to work. He wants to plant, to tend, to harvest. He wants to feed his children with food he grew himself, with dignity and pride.

Alradom Organization believes he should have that chance.

For years, Alradom (Al Radoam Charity Organization) has worked alongside communities in South Darfur, reaching the families who need help most. In partnership with IOM and the Ministry of Animal Resources, we have vaccinated and treated over 22,500 livestock in villages like Hinaiga, Umm Mandoka, Amorgo, and Umm Kradis—protecting the animals that families depend on for milk, income, and survival .

But livestock is only part of the story. True food security means families can grow their own food, sustain themselves through difficult seasons, and never have to choose between eating and educating their children.

That is why we are launching our Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture Program.

Sudan's farmers face overwhelming challenges. Erratic weather, delayed rains, and the impact of climate patterns like El Niño have devastated grazing land and crop production . Pastoralist communities, whose livelihoods have sustained Sudan for generations, find their migratory routes blocked and their access to land limited . Families who once grew enough to feed themselves and sell at market now struggle to produce even a single meal.

But with the right support, they can recover.

Alradom Organization provides:

  • Agricultural training teaching sustainable farming practices that work with Sudan's climate, not against it

  • Quality seeds that produce stronger, more resilient crops

  • Essential tools enabling families to cultivate land that has lain fallow

  • Ongoing support helping farmers adapt, learn, and succeed season after season

Your support does not just provide food for today. It teaches a family to grow food for every tomorrow. It transforms a farmer from a recipient of aid into a provider of abundance. It builds food independence that lasts for generations.

Join Alradom Organization in planting hope across Sudan. Together, we can help families feed themselves—with dignity, with skill, and with pride.
